I purchased based on others reviews. I could not get the TV settings configured to a decent quality picture. I returned the TV.

After a few tweaks, you can make the picture look great, there is no TRU-MOTION setting so I don't what that's all about and can't tell if it's really 120hz or not. The eco modes all make the picture too darn dull and bland, I can't stand them. I can't see buying and having a nice big TV only to run it in eco-mode and not be able to enjoy the best possible picture this thing can dish out just to save a few pennies on the electric bill. If I wanted to save money, I would have just kept my other puny 37" TV. Anyway, aside from the lack of TRU-MOTION function (which I don't know if it's any good), this is really good, big TV as long as you take the time to tweak the abundance of settings it has. The speakers are pretty horrible, they sound very hollow, as if they're in a small can or something. However, they do make plenty of volume albeit just plenty of low quality volume and you can live with it if you choose.

I was looking for a 55" or 60" HDTV, to replace a Panasonic Viera that crapped out a few months ago, without spending a lot of money. After researching Vizio and Samsung TVs, I could not beat the price of this LG, along with its incredible picture. I did not need any smart features or 3D. I am very happy with my purchase, and would suggest this LG model to anyone looking for a nice TV, at a great price.

This a great tv. It has a really good picture and good features. The only complaint I have is that it only has one cable connection, one component video connection and 2 HDMI connections. I had to buy a switching box to be able to connect the video games and dvd player.
