Up [Blu-ray]

Our daughter has talked about Up! since she first saw it, and wanted it for her 4th birthday. We looked in the store and found the same product for $35, then found that it was $18 online. (So it was a pretty obvious decision to order online!) We chose to have it sent to the house instead of site-to-store so that she would have the excitement of getting something cool in the mail, and I do wish we had done site-to-store. Apparently videos are handed off from UPS to the post office, and delivery was several days after the walmart.com time frame. All in all, it was well worth the wait though. We like being able to watch the Blu-Ray in the house and the dvd in the car, and got a great deal on walmart.com.

I bought this on sale for $20 (including S&H), which is an amazing deal. The DVD alone costs about as much, but this includes the Blu-ray, DVD, plus a digital copy. The extras on the disk, 2 animated shorts, and a couple "behind the scenes" features were interesting to watch as well. Watched this on my new HDTV and the visuals are phenominal. 3D animated movies really take full advantage of HD quality and color.

This movie was phenomenal. It is a typical Pixar movie- excellent story, excellent graphics and an unexpected, yet compelling message. The first 12 minutes of this movie may be the best first 12 minutes of any film I have ever seen. It brought my girlfriend to tears because it was so moving. I highly recommend this movie to anyone, any age.

I have seen all of Pixar's productions and I think UP is the best ever. If an animated movie ever wins an Academy Award, this may be the film that does it. It is touching to people of all ages and delivers a message on so many different levels. Great story, funny, and you never realize that you are watching animated characters. The extras that come with the Blu-Ray edition are excellent. Overall, a wonderful film!!!

I was very happy to find the blu-ray on-line for such a great price. Had purchased one in the store for $10 more. Returned it and bought this one. Took a LONG time to get it in the mail, but saving 1/3 of the price was worth it. The movie is ok. My kids love it. Don't really care about the digital copy, though.
