Stamina Magnetic Recumbent Bike

I was so proud that I almost assembled this bike by myself, and I'm a 50-something woman. I had trouble with the hand rests, or handle things, and had to wait for my husband to help. With real tools, I could have done it all myself. So don't worry too much about the assembly. The bike itself is comfortable. I can ride for an hour without difficulty. It takes awhile for the tension to adjust, so keep pushing up or down on the adjustment buttons. I'm glad I purchased this bike.

My husband put this together easily in one morning. I was very surprised to see how quietly this bike runs, which makes it easy to watch tv or listen to music. Everything works perfectly. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it doesn't have the straps to help keep your feet in the correct position. I did not pay attention to this fact when comparing bikes so that is my fault. However, I really am impressed and glad we didn't get the more expensive one. So far I am enjoying the ride!

Excellent price .I paid $151 with Fedex shipping to my door. It took 90 minutes or so to assemble the bike. Had to make a few adjustments to get the seat to pedal distance correct. No real bad complaints except the control pad for pulse and timer and distance won't stay at 1 setting, keeps jumping thru the numbers constantly.Otherwise the bike is whisper quiet, easy on my butt to sit down on the seat vs the agony I experienced with an upright exercise bike and the tiny seat. The magnetic drive takes a little patience to adjust but it does work once you get the hang of it. And my legs are getting the exercise they need vs sitting in my easy chair all day instead. Great value for the money spent.

The bike is made with a plastic gearbox that breaks too easily. The plastic gearbox is what changes the resistance. I returned the first one after only one week and the second one had the exact same issue after a couple of weeks. I should have expected this because the display model in the store had the same problem. Three in a row is not a fluke, it's a design issue. Because we like the bike so much I added a lawn mower style throttle cable to control the resistance manually.

I love my new bike. Finally I have found something that I can use and enjoy. I ride 10 miles a day while reading and this accomplishes 2 things. It gives me some exercise that I did not get before and it also gives me some "me" time to read without feeling like I should be up doing something else. I put the bike together myself. Instructions were easy to follow and everything went right in to place and it worked when I finished. Living in Florida, it is hard to be outside this time of year to exercise. This is something that I will use year round. After telling my sister about it, she and her husband ordered one and they love it too. A great bike for the price.
