e.l.f. Cosmetics Eyeliner & Shadow Stick, Plum/Purple

I got the purple first, in the Amethyst collection. I normally don't use sparkly or frosty or metallic on my eyes (I'm 66 sparkle is a bit over the top). But I used the shadow and was very pleased with it. The "frost" is very subtle and just highlights the contours of the eye rather than jumping out at you. So I then bought the gray and it is just a beautifully subtle as the purple. You can go very light and delicate or you can use several coats to get a smokey look. The liner part of the thing a nice bonus - it is smooth and easy to apply and perfectly sets off the lashes from the eyelid. I'm very pleased.

I am really disapointed in this! At first, I saw on the site this gorgeous sky blue eyeshadow with a deep ocean blue eyeliner, tell myself: It's perfect! Insta-buy. Now, the eyeshadow and eyeliner colour is the EXACT same!!! and they are not even a great ocean blue colour, it's kind of a metallic really dark blue. When I put it on my eyelid, it looks gray and the eyeliner is way too thick, no way you could do a clean line with this... I really love 99% of the e.l.f products I buy, but this one falls in the fail categorie... I ended up just giving it to my mother that liked the metallic appearance of it.

I bought this in brown/basic. It's pretty much the same pen as the lip liner, which I like. The liner isn't very pigmented, but it's a really pretty brown. The shadow, on the other hand, is my favorite part. It's a beautiful, shimmery gold color and it goes on so easily and looks amazing. Even if I might not use the liner much, it's worth it just for that shadow.

I have this in the color black/smoke. It's not one of my favorites from ELF sadly :/ Before this, I haven't found a product from ELF I didn't absolutely love. So I feel bad that I had to give it 3*s :( I really do like the eyeshadow stick part of it! It is true to color, long lasting, goes on smoothly, and just really pretty :) The liner part on the other hand, fades off so quickly! I don't think it even stays on for 20 minutes :/ Maybe because I live in a warmer climate? It might just melt off easy? Idk but I probably won't buy this again just because I have way too much eyeshadow at the moment. I do reccomend the cream eyeliners by ELF! They stay on for ages! :) They're smudge proof/ waterproof! Love love love 'em!

I own:Brown/Basic, Pearl/Glow, Purple/Plum. The shadow part on Brown/Basic is simply beautiful.(it's a golden brown color and would look good ANYWHERE on the eye/lower lash line.) Pearl/Glow is probably there BEST seller and is super hard to find(so therefore I bought 4 of them.) The liner AND shadow are both amazing. It's my favorite stick out of all of them. I use Pearl/Glow on my inner tear doc, and near my brow bone. I was a little discourage when I bought Purple/Plum. It's not as vibrant as the other ones, but I have brown eyes and I think I can make it work. I plan on purchasing "Green/Moss" and another "Brown/Basic." You DO have to reapply through out the day so it's kinda annoying, but I think there WELL worth the money.. I own higher brands and I think there just as good, accept you gotta reapply :).
