elf Essential Hypershine Lip Gloss - Bubblegum #9019 - Vegan, Cruelty Free ~ NEW

I bought this in "vixen". The color itself is beautiful. It's not heavily pigmented, but it gives a nice sheen and color when on. It definitely lives up to the "hypershine" name. However, it's incredibly thick and sticky and it's hard to wear for longer than a couple of hours for me because of that.

FYI--First time use of sticky lip gloss. I am black with yellow undertone, so i am slightly fair skinned. 1. Sticky--I've been told this makes it last longer than regular lip gloss, I cant confirm because i didnt sit down and time them both, but they both seem t last the same amount of time to me. 2. Shines --I get a nice light shine that i love hence the reason i keep using it despite it being sticky. 3. I received the colour flirty, and it acts a nude colour for me, basically it just enhances my pink lips and looks natural, which is what i also love about it. 4. Container makes it very easy to stick in my bag or even my pocket to move around with.

These are nice to have. They are very sheer, and can I can barely see any color when applied on lips. I have a bunch of these and some look like the same color to me. Swatches online aren't true to color. The "Joy" color looked purple online and it looks more pink in person.

I first tried this is in Berry Cherry, and I really liked it. It was a smooth gloss with a cool applicator. I bought another one in Vixen, and that one was not good at all. The color appears creamy in the photograph, but it isn't. It's a thick clear gel that comes out of the tube sloppy, and applies horribly. I'm giving 3 stars because the Berry Cherry rocked, but the Vixen was just awful.

I thought I would at least try the Essential Hypershine Gloss, I mean for [$] what do you have to lose right? Well this item surprised even me! I love the way it makes my lips shine with just a touch of color and the taste is just wonderful. I liked it so much that I will be ordering at least a 1/2 dozen more by the end of this week!
