Burts Bees Lip Balm - Soothing .15oz

First, I love menthol, I love Burt's Bees, and I love lip products in general. This had to be a win, right? Not so. This is the first Burt's product I actually THREW OUT. It (A) smells horrible - there is pleasant menthol, and then there is just flat-out chemical vapor (B) has a horrid texture - applies with an uneven, sometimes almost "I had crumbs on my lips" feeling (C) is gone before it can do any good. Don't rub your lips together more than once while wearing this, or it's just plain gone. ODD product. I'm completely puzzled by this one.

I have the same problem with this product. I recently bought the Lip Balm with Eucalyptus and Menthol. For the first half doze applications, it was great. Then is became very gritty and soft. It is like trying to apply paste made with baking soda. It's abrasive and not pleasant. This is the first Burt's Bees product I tried. It certainly isn't with the cost.

This is the best product ever, especially if you have a cold! It is veery soothing for dry, cracked lips and bonus, the Eucalyptus blend helps alleviate breathing issues from colds! It's like a menthol cough drop in a lip balm form! I highly recommend this to any and everyone who is in need of a little extra TLC when sick. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have read a lot of bad reviews on this product and they are so untrue!! It is super smooth, and I love the minty scent and taste. I am a student, and this is one of my book bag must haves! This product is OK in that it works well to treat chapped lips, but the texture is terrible. It becomes mushy and grainy after a couple of days of use, and literally half the tube clumps up on your mouth, and it feels like wet sand. It is so messy I don't really want to use it anymore.
