Philips Avent Natural Glass Baby Bottle with Natural Response Nipple (Slow Flow, Flow 2), 4oz, SCY910/01

These Avent glass bottles are a nightmare. They leak EVERY time, no matter how carefully I close them. After warming, they pop open and spill milk all over my baby. Total waste of money and milk. I'd rather buy Evenflo or Gulicola bottles any day – at least they actually work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle is the only bottle we'll be using from now on — it's that good! I feel so much better using glass instead of plastic for my newborn, especially with how often bottles need to be heated and sterilized. We've used ours daily for a couple of weeks now, and it still looks brand new. The quality is excellent, it's easy to clean, and I can tell it will hold up well even after months of use. My baby took to the nipple immediately, and we haven't had any issues with gas or excess air — a huge plus! One tip: when taking these on the go, I recommend using a cushioned case to prevent accidental breakage. I wish there were more protective bottle sleeves made specifically for moms using glass bottles on the move! As soon as I opened it, I noticed that the material feels high quality and I really like that it is glass since plastic can leak bad chemicals to baby's milk. Very reliable for daily use as it is easy to clean and no milk residue compare to plastic. I ended up buying a few more bottles for my baby's daily use.

I really liked the idea of this bottle more than the actual product. The glass bottle felt sturdy and well-made. The nipple and ring were both good quality as well. I pre-made a bottle and kept it in the fridge. I was worried, though, when I took it out of the fridge to heat it, that I would shatter the glass going from cold to hot. I ran it under warm water before actually heating the bottle and that worked great. The milk warmed well and evening in the bottle and that went well. My baby did not like this bottle, however. She is typically breastfed and although the bottle claims to be great for breastfed babies, we did not find this to be true for us. She struggled with the bottle and could not get any flow to happen at all. Furthermore, the nipple shape did not promote a natural latch for her.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel The bottle was very useful my first few weeks of pumping, the nipple flow was very slow perfect for newborn babies. My baby is quite ravenous so the flow was a little slow for our needs but perfect for when they are just figuring the bottle out. There is no leaking from the nipple unless suction is applied so no soaking baby while feeding which can be an issue with other bottles! This bottle held up well and evenly distributed heat when warmed up. I would recommend to other moms!
