Philips AVENT Anti-Colic Baby Bottles with AirFree Vent, 4oz, 4pk, Clear, SCY701/04

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first-time mom I originally planned on exclusively breastfeeding. Unfortunately, I wasn't producing a lot of milk in the beginning, so I had to turn to formula. I received this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and thank goodness I did. I tried a few others prior to these and neither I nor baby particularly liked them. I noticed that with the other bottles my daughter, who is a fast eater, would at times start to choke. She had no such problems with these bottles. The fact that the nipple always has milk to prevent baby from absorbing air is reassuring. I definitely noticed a decrease in how often she would spit-up after feedings. She also seemed to like this nipple over the ones from other bottles. Finally, these are super easy to clean and put together. I know other anti-colic bottles have several small parts, but these only have one and it's a really cool design. I would definitely recommend these bottles to other moms even if their baby doesn't have problems with colic.

The baby took right to it without any issues and did not end up with gas and seemed less clolicky. Overall great bottle. Definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received these Philips Avent bottles as part of the Stellar review. My baby boy is 7 weeks old and has some gas problems. These bottles were great. I always try to use the bottles that have some kind of protection from baby swallowing too much air. I know they will outgrow it, but right now this is important for me. We use this brand and other brands and like both! The only thing I didn't like about these bottles is the size of the nipples. They were a little too thik for my baby boy. Overall, we love them!

All of my babies seemed to have suffered from gas, spitting up and/or colic at some point. I was super excited to try out these new bottles. The first thing I noticed was how easy they are to clean. There is only 3 pieces (nipple, bottle, and plastic insert piece). The bottle has a wider opening, making it easier to clean. I breast feed my baby, but have to supplement with formula. He was able to latch on easily to the bottle. We had no difficulty going back and forth from breast to bottle. The flow on this bottle is a bit faster than other bottles we have tried. I just elevate the babies head a little higher during feedings. I noticed a decrease in burping and gas. I wish the flow of the bottle was a little slower. Overall this is a really nice bottle.

Unfortunately our daughter seems to be pretty picky about bottles and did not like these as much. I'm not sure exactly what was the cause, but she couldn't seem to get adequate milk flow when using them and would get upset. I did like the variety of nipple sizes available, we tried a few of those, but she unfortunately still seemed to struggle. We did however love how easy it was to assemble and clean these bottles!
