Philips Avent Natural Glass Baby Bottles with Natural Response Nipples (Medium Flow, Flow 3), 8oz, 3-Pack, SCY913/03

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Phillips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle to test as part of the Stellar Review Panel. My favorite thing about the bottles is that they're glass. We definitely wanted ti stay away from all plastic bottles when feeding our baby, even the ones that say “BPA free” because these known compounds are being replaced by others that can be even more harmful. Glass is safe and non-porous and that was the most important thing for us. It is a sturdy glass and didn't break even after being dropped from a few feet multiple times onto LVP. I like that the bottle is contoured because it makes it easy to hold. The bottle has a good weight to it but it wasn't too heavy for my 8 month old baby to hold herself. It stood up well to cleaning, warming and sterilizing. None of the volume markings looked like they were fading and it was easy to read how full it was in ounces and in milliliters. We also received the Avent Natural Response Nipples to test with the bottle and my baby did well with the combo even as a mostly breastfed baby. The collar of the bottle is a wide base so it can be used with other wide base nipples if needed, which increases the versatility of the product. Overall, we loved the Phillips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle and will continue to use it when our baby needs to be bottle fed.

We had used the plastic version of this bottle for our first child and have enjoyed trying the glass version with our second baby. The bottle feels nice to hold, warmed evenly, and the glass feels nicer than other plastic brands we have used. My 5-month-old baby who primarily nurses was able to drink efficiently from the bottle with minimal dripping or leakage--the level 3 nipple seems to be the right flow for him at this stage and age. My only concern about the bottle is the risk of glass breaking given that we have an active 4-year-old and dog in the house too--so I'm much more conscious of where I set the bottle in the middle of a feed to avoid anything getting knocked over. Otherwise, it's a great bottle and I intend to use this (as well as the plastic Philips Avent ones we already have) moving forward!

Safe to say, I was very impressed and wish we would have given the Phillips Avent glass bottles a try sooner. I have been hesitant to use glass as my daughter likes to hold her own bottle and was afraid it would break on the ground. However this has taken small falls and hasn't. I can tell that it is great quality and will hold up much longer than plastic bottles - as well as being much healthier for my baby. It has minimal parts so it is very easy to clean which is awesome! We received it with the Level 4 flow nipple which was the perfect flow for her at 11 months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Phillips Avent glass natural bottle for a few weeks and like it. The bottle, being glass, feels heavy duty. It was easy to wash and sterilize. It held up well and I feel like it will hold up for the long run. I like that it only had three parts that need cleaned and assembled. My baby is 11 months old and primarily breastfed. He did well when using this bottle. He accepted the new nipple with no issues and was able to control the flow well. I think this nipple style/flow was appropriate for him and I feel the design of the nipple is close to the breast. There was one feeding where there was some leaking from the bottle. I am unsure where the leaking was coming from but it only happened once. Overall, my baby and I really liked this bottle and will continue to use it. I absolutely loved this bottle and it quickly became my go to bottle! As a second time mom, the glass design feels very high quality, sturdy, sleek, and feels much more durable than other glass bottles I have used before. I especially appreciated how easy it was to clean. There wasn't any residue left behind after washing and it always looked and felt fresh after each use. It held up really well to heat from warming, sterilizing, and washing. I felt confident using it daily because it felt so safe and reliable. The glass never got cloudy or damaged after multiple washes and still looks brand new. My baby didn't have any issues controlling the milk flow during feeding. The included nipple worked great and I didn't feel like we needed to change the flow rate at all. What I liked most about this bottle was the overall feel and peace of mind it gave me. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and feels like a much safer, longer option.
