I had a large amount of bats, about 120 that found there way into the soffit of the house. I placed the bird-x yard guard box about 6 feet away from the hole they were getting into, behind a chimney along side the house. It did mess up their radar system, they were flying into the house and the chimney, but they still managed to get back in. After a week I counted about 110 bats come out and the same proses took place, it did mess with their fly ability but once they clung to the chimney they were able to crawl back to their nest. I am going to return it to WalMart.

Works great haven't seen the cat prints on my car since I've installed the unit. I'm recommending it and buying two more units.

I've had these set-up to come on with my outdoor lighting from dusk-to-dawn for about 2 months now. Since then, not one deer attack!! I am truly amazed and very happily surprised! After years of repeated deer attacks on almost all of my flowering plants, I am happy to report that my yard's "all-you-can-eat floral buffet" is officially closed and now off limits to hungry deer! Amen!! Very pleased with the product and it can be set-up several ways, including on constant, motion-activated, with or w/o batteries, AC adapter, etc. - very flexible. There are also several different animal settings that allow you to adjust the sound pitch to repel the kind of animals you don't want on your property. The unit covers a large area and is also very energy efficient as well, using only about 8 watts. That translates into about 8 cents per day if the unit is on 10 hrs. per night dusk-to-dawn, year long or about $3 per year - nearly invisible on the electric bill! Again, really inexpensive and a great value to keep pests away! If anything changes, I will update my review accordingly.
