Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity Moisture-Seal Masque

I discovered this in the hair color, sample size. I haven't purchased a larger version thus far because the ingredients, I believe used to say, had cones in it like silicon, amodimethicone, dimethicone(can't spell these things sorry but it had one of them I think). I shied away from it for that reason. It still moisturizes and I may use more frequently after I run through my other stuff. If people think it's not as effective it's because cones make the appearance of sealing the hair shaft, actually coats the hair shaft. I think it used to have cones, seemed to recall that. Cones can break hair and clog pores, it's in almost everything, a seemingly quick fix that works briefly. I like that the new formula is without cones. My hair gets dry, I have curls combined with frizz depending, thinner hair than thick, easily tangled. No cones means it can be rubbed into the scalp without leaving white globules that resemble louse eggs clinging to the shaft. Hurray Shea.

This is the BEST conditioner for my over 50's, thin, weak, 4C hair. My hair instantly absorbed this creamy conditioner like thirsty plants in a dry desert receives long awaited rain. I took the advice of a YouTube video to use this as a prelude to the same styling gel and finishing elixir. I have been looking for a conditioner with multiple hydrolyzed ingredients which aids in strengthening my hair and FINALLY, I've found it in Shea Moisture's High Porosity Mongongo and Hemp Seed line!!! I bought 2 and glad I did; and will buy on the regular! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this line! Thank you Shea Moisture!

First use review. 4/5 but if the improvement in my hair continues I'd say 5/5. Slightly pricey but so far it has done exactly as it says it would. My hair was extremely rough and bumpy and dry on pretty much every individual strand. With a.nice little halo of frizz on the crown of my head. After one use, everything has smoothed dramatically. And not just superficially. The bumps and roughness seem to have really been reduced. Only time will tell if this mask will genuinely contribute to continued healthy hair. I did use the mask however, in conjunction with a heat spray for porous hair although I don't think the spray is the credit for the smoother hair.

I have shoulder length relaxed hair & I love using this masque when my hair needs some protein ! I live in Houston which has really humid climate and (as I'm sure all of America knows by now) some of the wonkiest weather you'll ever see. one day its 90 degrees and the next day its 40 degrees and raining. combine that with hair that gets so dry when stretching that I have to moisturize and seal EVERY DAY. so this masque helped me to restore the moisture the weather and stretching usually strips my hair of. also my hair feels so much stronger and softer after I deep condition with my Hot Head ! it smells amazing and I can always see the difference after I use it ! highly recommend !

I used this deep conditioning masque after trying out so many hydrating deep conditioners not being ENOUGH to hydrate my dry, damaged hair from bleaching. I have medium textured, straight, level 2 hair bleached to about a level 9 with vivid colors. This masque made my hair feel better instantly after ONE USE, 5 mins in the shower. Excellent slip to untangle while showering, but unfortunately, my hair is tangled after I rinse... That's the only downside. My hair feels soft, hydrated and the smell is wonderful. Glad I invested in this masque! The fact that the ingredients are all-natural is also a plus. Definitely worth a try!
