Garmin n��vi 265WT - GPS navigator - automotive 4.3" widescreen

After extensive research on navigational products, we chose to purchase this one in lieu of renewing Onstar so that we could use it in multiple vehicles. It works as well as Onstar and any of the online mapping services we have used. Sometimes takes odd routes but it will definitely get you to your destination. Very nice to have in areas that you don't know well. Traffic feature is nice but we don't have alot of issues with that in our area so it rarely comes into play. Widescreen makes everything very easy to see. Very easy to use. We purchased a Garmin friction mount for the dash to avoid any tell-tale suction cup marks on the windshield. Love this accessory. Works great. Also picked up a generic case for storage which I would recommend to protect your investment. Haven't had a lot of exposure to other brands but very pleased with Garmin thus far.

I first purchased the Nuvi 255w in December. My husband and I found that one so useful that we decided to get this one too (we were constantly fighting over the other one!) As far as the navigation goes, the Nuvi products are great. Very easy to use and understand w/o having to read an entire book before hand. The traffic feature, however, is a different story. No where did it indicate (prior to purchase) that the traffic only works when the unit is plugged in. The traffic icon doesn't even appear when using battery power. The other issue w/ the traffic feature is that you have to press the icon to find out where the traffic is. That wouldn't be so bad if it were as simple as one touch, but it's two touches then two more to go back to the navigation screen. I feel like my attention is drawn away from the road too much when using the traffic feature. Otherwise, It's a great little GPS.

This GPS unit is fairly easy to use and is very precise. The bluetooth hands free phone is GREAT. I especially like the fact that the phone book from your phone is displayed.

Will calculate faster time, shorter distance or less fuel route. Also has Eco-Route which caculates distance, hours of trip, plus how much gas trip will take and how much money it will cost in gas. Gives your exact location incase you need Police/Emergency Hospital to where you are the the moment. Automaticaly recaculates your route if you stray off route and puts you back on course. It has so much more and you will feel safe on road. Easy to use with directions for use built in. Walmart is the place to buy as they stand behind everything sold in the store. But you will like this unit...Ps. I do not work for store.

I bought the 265WT a few weeks ago..I loved it but 3 or 4 times the screen turned black & blue..I emailed Garmin twice and they had no idea why and no solution..I called Garmin twice ,both times told there would be a 30+ minute wait.The 2nd time I but it on speaker and got cut off after 25 minutes..Wal Mart only give you 15 days to return a GPS so I couldn't wait for Garmin to help me so I returned it and ordered another 265WT..Like the unit but Garmin's service / support was awful.
