While I love the JawSaw, the extension pole is too cheaply made to be useful. I cut one branch with it and the pole bent as it is so thin and frail, it cannot withstand the weight of the saw! I tried to use it again and the pole snapped in half.

found this extension pole hard to hook up and when I took it off after one use it would not go on a second time and the little tongue and grove metal broke making the whole thing useless I will not buy any thing else from worx cheap metal shop

This is a good idea for making the JawSaw more useful, however not everyone has the strength to support the weight of the JawSaw over their head, and at the same time push the jaw saw into a limb that moves away while you are holding the saw and also pressing the trigger. I have better than average upper body strength as I have been a mechanic all of my adult life. Few women would be able to operate this tool "over their head" as shown in the advertisement. Perhaps some mention of that in the advertising would be advisable. I suspect the weight of the motor cannot be reduced anymore without taking away from its cutting power.

Extension pole is good in theory as one could avoid risk of climbing latter to use chainsaw. However, the weight displacement of chainsaw as manufactured is WAY too heavy at end of pole. I really wanted to like this pole feature as it would streamline trimming branches out of reach but I highly advise against buying it. The weight is extremely awkward overhead and overall just not a good design of chainsaw + pole extension.
