Cantu Define & Shine Custard with Shea Butter, 12 fl oz

I have 3C hair and need both a mousse and a curl enhancer. I liked the Cantu shine and define, but it was a little heavy for my hair type. It did help me to define my curls so the product works, just only for certain hair types or even styles. I wouldn't use this for a wash and go, but if I wore a style with twists or braids to the scalp it could work.

I absolutely love the smell and smoothness of my hair after using this custard. I love custard and this one was really good. My hair stayed in place and shiny all throughout the day unlike some custard that may leave your hair dry not long after using this isn't that at all. Very moisturizing and smell amazing!

Great product! It gives a bunch of love to my 4C curl pattern. I absolutely love the smell and can't get over how light and airy the consistency is. Definitely a must buy. I would only caution against using it liberally. I have found that it creates flakes.

I have been using this after a leave in conditioner, and curl smoothie, and normall after using any type of gel or custard I like to seal it with an oil but I've found using this I don't even need to use an oil after, I love how it has holding power yet does not flake or have a hard cast on it after my hair dries.

This custard did a great job at defining my curls and adding some shine but it caused my hair to flake terribly so much that I had to wash my hair after only two days. The application was simple and easy, I had no issues applying the product to my hair though it did come out in clumps at times and I had to smooth or break apart the clumps. It detangled my hair well during application. I first applied this after washing and conditioning my hair and applied this immediately after while my hair was still wet per the instructions. The after results left my curls feeling dry and crunchy but defined. I give this three stars because of the terrible flaking that took place but loved the definition.
