Jayhawkers, The

The Civil War has not yet begun, but Kansas Territory is already a battleground for fervid pro-South and pro-North marauders. Caught in between are innocent farmers, ranchers, townspeople - folks who've taken neither side. And fighting to protect them are makeshift vigilante groups like the Jayhawks. Jeff Chandler and Fess Parker headline this dramatic western set during a turning point n history. Chandler ("Broken Arrow") portrays the iron-willed Jayhawk leader. Parker (Davy Crockett) is the prisoner who can win his freedom... if he infiltrates the Jayhawks and hands Chandler over to the governor.
