Great cutting set especially for smaller projects or quilting pieces. The rotary cutter's are sharp and cut right through thick fleece without strain. I like the reversible cutting mat for different fabric colors and self healing mat. Great gift for beginning sewers/quilters.

The rotary cutter has an easy-to-grasp and comfortable-to-use handle. The blade on the rotary cutter has a guard to keep the rotary cutter safe when not in use. With one swipe of your thumb, you can pull the blade guard away from the blade. The blade guard not only makes storing the rotary cutter when not in use so much safer and easier, it protects the blade as well. The rotary cutter glides easily and works well. It cut through three layers of cloth with no problem and there was no need to roll it back and forth to get it to cut all the way through. It also cut through paper easily, which could come in handy for scrapbooking projects and office use. The mat is self healing, so it should never wear out! It includes measuring lines, making it a fantastic tool for cutting quilt squares or measuring strips of fabrics. With a house full of crafty people, I think my family is going to get a lot of use out of this set!

I received this Fiskars Rotary Cutting Set about two weeks ago. It just so happens to be a time when my sewing skills are being called upon to make a mask. I love that the mat is not a large mat and the measurements on it are easy to read. You can use either side. It is great to provide a color contract when cutting. The cutting tool works very well. It is sharp and will cut through several layers at a time. The blade has a safety guard which is a great feature. This has been such a nice product to have while making face masks. I can cut clean straight lines and not have to worry about snags in the cutting of the material. The size is convenient as it is easy to store when not in use but large enough to get the job done. I received this product as part of the Walmart Spark reviewer program. The lifetime warranty also seems like a great feature however the mat is pretty sturdy and is called "self healing" so I do not see replacing the mat as an issue in the future.

I've been using this tool a lot to make masks for my family and friends. This rotary tool and mat make getting straight lines and even edges much easier. I really like this rotary cutting tool and mat. The cutting mat is narrow and long which is a great space saver and resists cuts really well. The rotary tool fits comfortably in my hand, is lightweight, and the blade guard button is easily accessible. The best aspect of this rotary tool is the stationary blade. The button moves the blade guard up and down to protect the blade instead of the blade moving up and down. In the pictures you can see the blade only comes out a tiny bit, just enough to cut thin project material. There is a slight odor with the mat but it goes away after a few days. PROS: Lightweight, comfortable, rotary tool cuts easily, guard moves not the blade, mat is perfect for small projects, mat resists cuts. CONS: Slight odor on cutting mat
