Great Value Original Cheddar Flavor Cheese Dip, 16 oz

The price was pretty good for the size jar, but the dip was a bit saltier than I wanted. It is a very "basic" cheese dip...thicker than the cheesy wiz of another brand. Once you heat it up it stays thick, and you may need to add a little milk or water to make it pourable/drizzable. It is great if you want to add salsa to make more of a queso-style dip as it will not end up watery when heated (just have to stir thoroughly with the salsa to loosen it up as it heats on the stove, or fully stir before placing in a microwave).

I wouldn't buy this again. it was too thick and had to be heated in the microwave in order to eat it. it had a very fake taste, not like real cheese. it was messy and not at all what I had expected as a cheese dip to be. oh well I guess you don't know until you try but it was not something that I liked. I was really looking for the Fritos cheese dip but it was unavailable at all times so I settled for this but it was nothing like it.

Bought this, expecting it to be a dip I can dip my tortilla chips into, sort of like movie theater nachos. This "dip" can't actually be dipped into at all! Microwaving it yields a rubbery shmere, similar to the stuff you get in "crackers-n-cheez" lunchables, that you need to actually spread with a stick. Did NOT enjoy this.

Reading the ingredients, I'm not sure this should have the word "cheese" in the name. It's a semi-gelatinous paste material, with an orange color to it. It's hard to get past the texture. There's very little flavor, and I would not call that flavor cheese. I couldn't eat it.

This Walmart brand is equivalent to a brand name Whiz. It's creamy and delicious and works even better than the name brand whiz in many of my recipes. Also great on foods such as pretzels! This cheddar flavor cheese deep is about half the cost as the name brand whiz and tastes better!
