Ziploc® Brand Storage Bags with Power Shield Technology, Two Gallon, 12 Count

I always enjoy receiving items that I can use especially in so many ways! I received the Zpiloc2 Gallon Storage Bags. I must admit that I rarely use them in the kitchen, I am a senior citizen living alone so I don't buy food in bulk like I used to do. But being somewhat of a pack rate I like the big size to store all my other items in. That way I can only put out certain items for certain holidays and keep the rest of my things safe and clean. Thank you.

I have always liked the Ziploc brand, so I was interested in checking out this 2 gallon size, which I had not realized was available. Also, I have always preferred the “snap shut” type bags instead pf the “zipper close” type. They are nice and thick, I think even more so than the quart size freezer bags I usually buy. The only time I can imagine using these for food storage is the holidays, which is the only time I cook big meals anymore. But, I can imagine using them for other things. On trips to organize hygiene items like shampoo, etc. Or organize items I keep at my house for the grandkids, as time goes by I'm sure I will come up with other uses.. Overall, depending on your own personal needs/preferences, I think this could be a handy product to keep in the home.

These are awesome bags for storing and transporting anything. I live in a very humidity part of the USA and I don't like using canisters for any long term food storage. I put my opened bags of flour, sugar, cereal, pasta etc. in these bags to keep moisture out before putting in my pantry. Good to put sewing projects, clothing, paper goods, scrapbooking supplies, important documents and pretty much anything you can think of that susceptible to humidity and pesky bugs. Great when traveling near and far. I roll out the air from each, and nothing got wrinkled. Saves room allowing you to use smaller bags---YEAH!!!. I brought an extra for dirty clothes. I like these 2 gallon bags to brine or marinade meats. You can put a whole chicken or nice size roast in one of these bags. You don't have to worry about them leaking. They are great. I find there are so many great uses for these that I would consider being without.

I like the Ziplocl Storage 2 Gallon Bags. They are bigger and hold bigger items or more then other storage bags. They are good for storing items that you don't use often. They are also good for organizing items that normally just sit on a shelf in your cabinent or drawers.

I've been using these newer style bags (gallon and quart) for a while and I am seeing a problem with the new style flap for opening the bag. It seems the lower side flap peels away form the bag from time to time. This occurs on the Gallon size and the Quart size. When the flap peels away it is very difficult to open the open the bag. When this happens I have to transfer the contents to a new bag. Not very cost effective. This could be an R & D problem. a design problem or an intentional design flaw to force the consumer to replenish their bag for frequently.
