Internal grate was not as shown in the picture. It has four elevated feet and the center failed in the first fire.

My item came damaged.

Just received my 22” Folding Fire Pit and it's the easiest assembly I've ever done. Main reason for buying this fire pit was for the size, which fits my small designated area beautifully! Really like that it can be stored away when not in use. Was not expecting a cooking grate, Bonus!!!

I bought this product because I wanted a fire pit on our communal patio but the land lord said it had to be portable, eg didn't want it out for eveyone's use. This seemed to fit the matter of wanting a fire some of the time and wanting to grill on charcoal as the grills provided in another communal space are gas. As it turns out, since I bought it a couple of years ago I have used it about 4 times. Twice for fire, twice for grilling. After the most recent use, and it packed up nicely for taking to the lake, it appears that the heat from grilling steaks warped the grill parts, the parts holding charcoal and the grill itself. These pieces are extremely flimsy! It is hard to weigh the convenience of light weight and portability with the demands of durability. And I still prefer this design on that score to any of the others I have seen. But I think both grills, the one holding the charcoal and the one for food should be a little stronger at this price point. And for the rust factor I think something to use to season the outer parts against rust is in order. I am open to suggestions. My space is limited but I do like an occasional fire and barbecue and so, until something better comes along at this price point, this is it.

I bought this to enjoy a campfire at sites that did not provide a fire ring. The unit is very portable and compact for storage. I used the fire ring on a recent trip and it performed well, cleaned up quickly, and stowed easily. I am a Happy Camper!
