Quick receipt of the console (delivery), consoles were in good condition upon arrival (no damage to package, no damage to consoles), have only opened one console (the other is a gift for my son) but the one we opened is in good working order

This was a gift to my son in law he loves the play station . but for about 2 weeks he could not use it because the remote was not working I'm not sure what to do now. I purchased another remote at Wal-Mart so now I'm out of $68.90 and I have remote that don't work . I'm at a loss

System received works great! 4 stars because the speaker/ earbud came dirty and broken and the outside box damaged. The codes for the games still work despite the box stating they're expired. Originally contacted the seller and the seller contacted me very quickly and was super helpful with the codes. So, if you are buying this please be aware that the God of War and Horizon games are download ONLY! You will need an internet connection to get them. Don't panic over the box saying the codes are expired, they still work perfectly. Overall mostly disappointed that the speaker earbud is dirty and broken. The ear bud has brown, flaky crud in the grooves and the switch casing with the blue button is cracked on the side. The controller had a bit of the same brown crud on the right controller stick but was easy to clean off. The PS4 box was dented in on the side, but the UPS shipping box was not, so it had to have been damaged prior to packing. Overall happy with system as I've been saving for over a year to get this and really happy the games still worked. I just wish I had known about the defects prior to purchasing. I had been expecting a mint condition, new system.

Great value. I purchased after the extra game codes expired and both still worked. The PS4 is a vast improvement over the PS3. It runs faster, has a sleep mode that prevents it from randomly shutting off if you accidentally leave it running mid game or something. And other than the games, I'd say the next best improvement is that Hulu runs really well on it, and there's support for things like CBS All Access and Disney+. The downsides I've encountered so far are that it isn't backwards compatible at all, and it cannot play audio CDs for some reason. Neither are deal breakers by any means, but the CD issue was a surprise. A game I bought came with a soundtrack and I wasn't able to just pop it in and listen like I could with the PS3.
