This is an awesome system.The Playstation Network however is very lame.This system came with a 30 day free trial membership to Sony's Playstation Network Plus.Initially,I thought I would probably subscribe to the network but after waiting for five days for a game to download I decided that I would not go that route.I found myself leaving the PS3 on for extended periods of time waiting for downloads and I am sure this is not good for the system.Some of the games available foe download are timed trials that last an hour and the clock starts as soon as you hit the start button.You literally have one hour from the time you hit the start button and it doesn't matter whether you turn it off or pause during this period.The game that came with it ,Assassin's Creed 3 is not my thing.The story line and graphics were really done well but the game plays itself.I like a challenge.The 500GBs is excellent and the newer, sleeker design is an major improvement.This system does not generate the heat that it's predecessor did which lead to it's early demise.Also,the top loading feature with the sliding door feature is also an innovative design that will extends it life,IMHO.

Great price for the product. Son loved it. Purchased this brand for the 500 gb space. Easy to set up. Can always call sony PS cust serv for any questions about specifics. Not having the automatic disc opener was not a problem nor a deterrent. Was able to set up netflix. Still learning how to operate, yet my son is more advanced. Now he wants the headphones to talk to friends while playing instead of the phone. Great game system.

Worth the purchase, especially with the bundle package price. Great storage capacity, especially if you will downloading some of the games from Sony's world, whatever it is called. Cannot go wrong with this price.
