K'nex Titanfall - Ultimate Angel City Campaign Building Set 69500

We were recently introduced to the world of Titanfall. I have to honestly say that I had never heard of it before. Thankfully my eleven year old son knew all about it and was beyond excited when he saw the set. He immediately wanted to open it and start putting it together. The thing that intrigued him most was the 2 HUGE robots that were included with the set. The Set is called Ultimate Angel City Campaign Building Set. It comes with 1448 pieces and recommended for ages 8+. He worked for a few hours off and on building the set. I will normally sit with my children and help them build each set but this one he wanted to do all by himself. He started with the robots beings they were his favorite part of the set. I have to honestly say that they are pretty cool and BIG! They measure 10.7 inches tall. Yep, you read that right. I told you they were BIG! My son has literally played with set over and over. I cannot honestly tell you how much as it is more than I can count on my fingers...lol He has battle to robots against each other and with the guys that are included with the set. In which one of the characters included is a limited edition character. It comes with a building complex and tower in which he strategically places the guys all around to protect them from the robots. If you have boys in your home that are Titanfall fans or love robots then we highly recommend you get this set.

The set contains 1,448 pieces and includes 6 action figures/creatures; two are about 10 inches tall with moveable features, and several weapons launchers which fire upon releasing your hand/fingers. So it's interactive, two kids can battle it out with each other. The instructions are difficult but I'm not a patient person. A patient person can build 2 different building complexes, a tactical ground force including shrubs, trees, rocks, etc), and a communications tower for each building. 83% of this set is made in America.

My 9 year old and I decided we would put this huge building set together as a weekend project/family bonding thing. However, after we laid everything out on the table, we quickly realized that several pieces were missing-402 to be exact! I called K'Nex. They said if it were just a few they would gladly mail me the missing pieces. However, since it was way more, I should return it for a new one. Since I did not have the reciept, I could not. Despite this, my son combined it with the building set he got for christmas last year and was able to build some awesome stuff. One thing about this set that made me give it a lower rating is the fact that it has some cardboard pieces. These pieces will not last anywhere near as long as the rest of the set. I feel that they could have been plastic with stickers on them like some of the other included pieces instead.

My boys dived right in as soon as they saw this set with over 1,000 pieces. They have played mostly with Lego so it is good that they are trying K'Nex for a slightly different building experience. They are still building it bit by bit every night. It took them some time to get used to the rods and other shapes that are so different from Legos. They are more accustomed to it now that they have a week's experience. I am thankful that it continues to keep their interest. My kids commented that the action figures are "awesome" because they have bendable knees (something that Legos does not have). Since this set still captures by fickle kids' interest, I recommend this large set for your boys.

This is an excellent product. And the Ultimate Angel City is awesome. It will keep your child busy for hours. I would highly recommend any of the K'NEX sets.
