I believe the MXM4 is rated for 50,000 or 60,000. I got nowhere near that mileage. My CTS came with the MXM4 as original equipment, I got 83,000 out of the first set and 85,000 out of the second. Quite a return on investment. I guess you know what tire I chose for the third set. Its EXCELLENT
These tires were on a 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T that I bought used, so I'm not sure how the tires were used / treated / maintained prior to my purchasing the vehicle. I suspect that these were the tires that originally came on the car from the factory. These are the quietest, smoothest, best riding tires I have ever experienced on a vehicle. I did replace these tires at 26000 miles, but as previously stated, not sure what transpired before I took ownership. I replaced with exactly the same tire the MXM4. New set still providing an extremely quiet, smooth ride and they look great too.
When it comes to tires. The only tires I've use in the last 30 years is Michelin tires. I always think of my family on the road day to day or traveling. Quality, safe ,performance ,what more could you ask for. When I go to get tires its not that hard because I always us what every Michelin suggest for replacing my manufactures tires . They always are as good or better then what came on the car. Don the bud driver
I wouldn't recommend these tires to an enemy. The tires are round & held air well. Noise was unremarkable, handling & braking acceptable. An all around good, solid tire. Until they wore out halfway to the mileage Michelin said I could expect. I bought my 2011 Challenger SE new. I'm middle aged & broke & I didn't burn up the pavement with my six banger- I went to & from work & home with the occasional trip to visit the wife's kin 165 miles away & one summer road trip with the nephews from central Texas to Central Kansas. Regular rotation every 5k, no alignment problems. Average driving by an average driver. At 23k miles the tires were done. Even wear, just worn to 3/32 all the way around. I'll be generous & say I got half the 50k Michelin says you can expect. Sorely disappointing!
These tires are installed on my 2009 Mercedes E320 Bluetec (Diesel). These tires have tamed down the road noise from the OEM tires that came with the car when new. I also have set personal best mileage with these tires. I got over 45 mpg on a road trip at average speed of 70 MPH. That's an increase from my former best of 42 mpg on the same interstate, same speed. This is in a E Class Mercedes not a Prius! I only have about 2K miles so I can't comment on longevity.
