I've gotten lots of compliments on the look of this bike, very retro. I ended up finding one in store that was assembled so I 'returned' the one that had been delivered (that I had bought online) as the reviews made assembly sound like something I'd rather avoid. I bought a separate basket and lights for the bike and am now out enjoying the ride. Only downside so far (about a week): sorta grinding/clanking sound while changing gears. Hopefully not going to a major issue down the line (fingers crossed).

I had the bike shipped to my home and it arrived in about three days with basic shipping! It took me less than an hour to put it all together, probably would have been easier if I had ever put one together before. Adjusting the front wheel brakes was by far the hardest part. I've gotten a lot of compliments on this bike, it's very retro and stylish. My only complaint is that it is very hard to ride up hills, even on the lowest gear setting.

This is my 2nd Schwinn bike from Walmart (the 1st was stolen). I like it alot. It's easy to ride and change gears, has good brakes. I'm a ride around the city on the weekend kind of rider, this bike is perfect for that. The only con is its pretty heavy to lift, but I don't do that often so it's not that much of an issue.

I have to give Walmart kuddos. The bike arrived in 2 days. I thought I'd only get this shipping with my Prime on Amazon.com but Walmart did it too! I did have someone put the bike together and bought accessories which cost me the same as the bike, but I like it.

First things first: This is a nice looking bike. Unfortunately, some things are more important than looks. Weight, for instance. This bike is incredibly heavy. My last one, a boys' mountain bike also from Walmart, weighed maybe 2/3rds as much, and it wasn't light to begin with. The tires are 28". Nowhere in the product specifications did it say this, and as a 5'3" female, it's a bit of a stretch. I can either lower the seat, touching the ground and having my knees come up to my waist, or stand tiptoe on one side to have the pedals at a manageable distance. The gears aren't great. I don't know if mine is defective but I've found it almost impossible to pedal at even the slightest slope in a higher gear than 2, and usually resign myself to riding in first. Third gear doesn't work at all, just clicks and slips, while "fourth" is actually third. I realize all bikes require a minor tune-up after a week or two, but it's barely rideable at the moment. Finally, the seat has got to be the most uncomfortable thing I've ever had the displeasure to sit on. I know no one *really* stays with a Walmart bike seat but still, I was hoping this one would serve while my new one was in the mail. There are a couple of good things: Looks, as I mentioned before. I've gotten some nice compliments about it. The luggage rack is sizeable (perhaps contributing to the weight problem?) and has a mousetrap-style metal clamp to help secure packages. The leather grip of the handlebars is extremely comfortable, and the fenders are a nice touch. It also came with a bell, which has come in handy on the crowded paths of Seattle. Beware of needing customer service, though! One of my inner tubes arrived with a leak in it and despite contacting the bike company over a week and a half ago per the company's website instructions, I haven't heard a thing back other than an automated response telling me they received my email. Inner tubes are cheap enough so I bought my own replacement, needing something to get to work with, but I'm very disappointed that I had to spend -further- money on a brand-new bicycle. After over a week of riding it with a miserable seat, faulty gears, and just plain feeling like I'm tugging blocks of cement, I now actively dread taking this thing to work and instead triple my commute time by walking instead. If the new seat helps enough and I begin to grow leg muscles usually seen in the Tour de France, I just may keep it. Right now, the thought of disassembling it and carrying it to the UPS store is enough to just leave it in the basement.
