26" Schwinn Point Beach Men's Cruiser Bike, Navy/Cream

Everywhere I ride someone makes a comment about how nice this Schwinn looks. I like this bike and after much looking I decided on this style of a bike from Schwinn. The colors and style is great for me. I acutally bought this bike (mens) and another one (womens) for taking on the RV to ride at the campgrounds. I am not a full time campground person but camp about every 3 to 4 weeks thru out the year so these bikes are great to have.

Front fender arrived damaged, had to call company for a replacement. Tires were flat. Manual is a generic bike manual, not specific for this bike, so assembly instructions were not good. Would be good if bike was completely assembled by company before shipping; it would only require a slightly larger shipping box.

The Seat provided with this Bike is Horrible. While riding, the seat squeaks constantly. I don't mean little squeaks, it is loud enough for fellow bikers to comment on it. Not the springs either, the squeaks originate inside the seat covering. Really detracts from a pleasant ride.

Wal-Mart online was great. Ordering was easy and convenient. My order arrived a day early than expected without any damage. I am a little disappointed in the quality of the product. I have had Schwinn bikes in the past (my first in 1972) and thought their product was a very good quality product for the price range. There was finish damage from the way Schwinn packaged the bike. I will contact Schwinn on this issue. The quality of the Schwinn product is a lot less than I expected from this brand, sloppy welds, decals not applied with an eye to detail and paint finish blemishes. For the price I can live with theses issues but this may be an indication of a less durable product than I had expected from this brand. My next bike purchase will not be Schwinn.

My grandson and I ride a lot, any time we have an opportunity. this bike is quite comfortable however I'm considering a seat upgrade. The OEM seat is good because it's suspended on springs and it soaks up the rough stuff but I believe there's room for improvement.
