Safety 1st Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier, Pink

Using as a humidifer for my plants. It works great and lasts for all day on a full tank using the low/mid setting. The mist is very fine and doesn't leave visible drops on my plants. Very simple with just one dial for on/off/ adjusting the mist strength. Has a little green light by the dial when in use. When it gets low on water it turns off and the little light goes red. The pastel pink color is eye-catching. Has a pleasant, quiet watery burbling noise if you're standing close to it. Some directional control by rotating the top, has two mist streams, the main one and one you can rotate. Easy to refill, just take off the white airflow top, lift up tank, turn upside down, unscrew the bottom inlet cap and fill. Screw cap back on, flip tank upright and place back on the stand, put the white top back on. I recommend using it with distilled water if you can. Better for the machine and for plants and humans. Can't go wrong with this.

Humidifier was very messy to fill! The resevoir did not completely empty before the light to fill came on and mist stopped working!, leaving water on top of resevoir that would leak everywhere. It had to fill it in the bathtub! Only good for a small bedroom because anything bigger you would be constantly refilling it!

I just wanted an inexpensive little humidifier for my bedroom, so I decided to give this one a try. Unfortunately it is not really convenient at all. First of all, the hole to fill the water container is very small and difficult to pour water into from a gallon jug without spilling. Also, it makes it very hard to see where the water level is since you have to focus on not letting it spill from the small opening. The second critique is that despite having a turn knob, there is really only one setting, ALL the WAY on, ALL the TIME. This means that the water is used up exceedingly fast, and even trying to have it on overnight it runs out too fast. Also, the steam comes out so fast that it inevitably falls straight down and ends up a puddle in front of the device itself. I was very disappointed in the overal l construction of this humidifier and wish I had spent my money on something else.

The unit does create a mist but the low to high adjustment doesn't work. The same amount of mist comes out of the unit on all the settings (low to high). No matter the setting I only get about 8 hours per tank fill. It is quiet running and looks nice. Because of the same volume of mist it produces on all settings and for my room size I've connected it to a timer with a 15 minute on/off cycle. This has extended the tank fill time to about 12 hours.

It works, as in a see mist coming out of the top, but all it did was get my carpet wet. I laid down a towel to absorb it and it was soaked in the morning. Go with a warm mist humidifier, cool mist is a waste of time. Barely any difference in humidity.
