EZ-Fit Safety Gate Adaptor I

The wood itself is nice and sturdy. I'm pretty sure I got a returned one. The paint was chipped on one edge, and there were some divots on it, but I'm not too picky; I wanted it for functionality. I got the bottom strapped onto the banister nice and tight. When I began tightening the top the plastic loop of the strap broke in half. I still managed to get it tied on the top, but it's not pretty. I have a pressure mounted gate pressed against it and it's working very well. I'd recommend it, but be careful with the plastic on the straps as it is very cheaply made.

This velcros very tightly to the post. It works for some gates and not for others. The adapter wiggles back and forth slightly but does not affect my gate as mine is screwed to the adapter. A tension gate will probably have problems with this adapter.

The velcro straps that come with this are very flimsy - I was trying to tighten the straps so the wood part would not move and both straps broke. In fact one strap had such a large seam in it that the velcro would not fit through the buckle. The piece of wood is also thinner than I thought it would be and required using shorter screws than the ones the safety gate came with.

I bought this to use with my KidCo top of stairs gate and it works wonderful! I was leary about buying due to it being velcro that holds the wood strip but this velcro is awesome. Very sturdy. No movement of wooden strip. The only thing I can say negative about the product is that the strip wasnt thick enough for the screws that came with my gate so I had to use shorter screws to advoid damaging my null post. Other than that very good investment. Would highly recommend.

This product does exactly what it says it does. It works well. The directions are hard to understand and half of them were covered up by the packaging label since the instructions are on the outside of the box, but you can figure it out without them. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it only comes in white. I do think the price is a little high, but I didn't want to take the time to make my own so I paid the asking price.
