Cra-Z-Art Be Inspired Twist & Color Tie Dye Unisex Studio, Ages 8 and up

This kit was super fun. Used it at a birthday party (bought extra pieces for all the kids). The colors were nice and vibrant. The kit itself is easy to use. I thought it was going to be less messy that a tradition paint set but it was about the same, maybe slightly less messy. But really, what did I expect? It's paint and there are kids within a 10 foot radius LOL definitely recommend. But get some additional pieces to dye.

I love doing tie dye with my kids! They love it too! There's so many different things you can dye and so many different ways to tie and dye them too! I honestly love kits like this! It has eveything you need! It makes the process so easy! And you can always buy more colors to add to your kit and get even more creative! The directions will guide you and there's pictures to help with understanding too! Have fun and get to creating!

My children and I did not like this activity set for quite a few reasons. 1. The contraption used to twist the item was not helpful and was more cumbersome that it was worth. 2. The plastic covering felt flimsy and kept popping out from the sides. We ended up removing that piece. 3. While it did help contain some of the mess, it wasn't more helpful than plain plastic trays I've used in the past. 4. You only get 2 pieces to dye- a hair tie and a bandana. Not very exciting, so we tried to add some socks to the mix. 5. You don't get a lot of dye. It shows how you can do t-shirts, but really there is not enough to do those in addition to the 2 items without buying more dye. 6. The dye is awful. Most of it rinsed out even after sitting on the garment in a bag for 24 hours. I've included a picture of a pair of socks my daughter dyed. She use a lot per sock- pink & blue on one and green & yellow on the other. You can barely even tell that she used the pink. Based on these reasons, I would not recommend, especially at this price point, and also given that it will be just another plastic contraption taking up space when the "fun" is over.

This set came with the station, 4 bottles, 4 dyes (yellow, red, blue and green), rubber bands, a bank hair tie and a bandana. The station is made out of plastic but it is sturdy, I should be able yo use this for a long time. The bottles are small and is perfect for your kids' small hands. I was able to dye both the blank items it came with and size 4T longsleeves. Color payoff of the dye is great. I recommend this for small item projects. It might fit a small womens shirt but anything larger than that might not. Very easy to clean as well!

If your kids loves tie dye products, this is and excellent starter kit to get them. It's pretty simple to use, yet can be a bit messy so being prepared is a must lol. I love that the fun of tie-dye can be enjoyed in the comfort of their home, but do wish the set had a few more pieces! Maybe another scrunchy or some socks, this would make the kit more worth its money and longer lasting. Overall, it makes a fantastic gift and gives your kiddo something fun to do!
