Crest Pro-Health Clinical Gum Protection Toothpaste, Clean Mint, 5.8 oz (Pack of 2)

The two step process of Crest Pro Health HD took a little getting used to (I would forget to stop brushing at the one minute mark to switch), but after a few uses you get in the habit. I didn't like the taste of the artificial sweetener at first, but that went away as I got used to it. In the past other whitening products have been painful for my teeth and gums, but I found this to be much gentler. Even then, my gums are so sensitive I can only use the HD system once a day otherwise my gums bleed. Using it once a day doesn't cause me any problems and my teeth are definitely whiter. Overall I like the results of Crest Pro Health HD and plan on getting more when it runs out. My daughter wants me to get her some too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This toothpaste is good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. Pros: Cavity prevention paste is very refreshing, system doesn't seem to bother my sensitive teeth like other whitening products, teeth do feel nice and clean after use Cons: Don't notice significant difference in whiteness of teeth even after close to a month of using it, two-step process is cumbersome, whitening paste tastes gross [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I never heard about Crest Pro Health® toothpaste before. I used this toothpaste for while, before writing this review. So, what can I say, I usually choose toothpaste by flavor, I like toothpaste, which make me feel fresh. Crest Pro Health® have very strange flavor, I still don't know how to name it, but it not make me feel fresh after I used it. If believe what they say in the box, this toothpaste should make my teeth whiter after week of using it, well it not work with me. My tooth stay the same, so why I should pay more for Crest Pro Health® if the same I can get cheaper and as a bonus other toothpaste have various of flavor to choose from. So to start off I'd like to say that I liked how Crest ProHealth HD was different from the rest. Usually we see whitening strips or some contraption you put in your mouth with a light and this was very close to your normal routine in that it was just toothpaste! I didn't like how dry it made my mouth after using the step 2. I literally felt like cotton was in my mouth soaking up every ounce of moisture that was present which was uncomfortable. I did eventually get over that though and I really appreciated that I could use this whitening product without major tooth pain. All other tooth whitening products I have used caused me major pain and my teeth are not usually sensitive. I didn't see a HUGE change in the whiteness of my teeth but there was a slight difference. Crest has come up with an interesting concept in a two-step teeth brushing experience. After using this product for a few weeks now (my wife has tried it as well) I have a few observations: 1) The first step has a good toothpaste taste and your moth feels very clean after the use. 2) The second step polish/whitening paste has a different flavor than what most would be used to. It's not a bad flavor but its a bit different. 3) After using this product, I feel as though it does a great job cleaning and polishing but I really don't see much of a difference as far as the whitening product goes. 4) Some people may not like taking the extra time to basically brush twice each morning and each night. 5) The price is very high for a toothpaste. Overall I give this product 4 stars. It does a fine job with cleaning, polishing and getting that clean feel. However, the price and the whitening leave something to be desired.
