Apple (3FT) Lightning To USB Cable For iPhone X, 8, 7, 6, iPad, iPod

The 6ft length was great! Not worrying about yanking the charger out of the wall, by accident, was life-changing. However, the cord near the lightning plug was unexpected weak. It tore within a few weeks of use, although I was careful to remove only using the hard plastic part. Maybe using a cable protector would help, but use on its own does not allow for durability.

The cable we received was 6 foot, not 3 foot, and it is not an authentic Apple cable. It didn't even come in the normal cardboard packaging that Apple sells their accessories in. To make matter worse, it doesn't even work!!! Garbage. My picture shows the imposter cable on the left, next to a real Apple cable on the right. The Apple authentic is thicker in diameter, and has gold contact on the lighting connector. The fake is thinner cable with sîlver contacts.

only worked for a few weeks until Apple updated and now my iPad says that it won't work with the accessory unless the iPad is turned on so they no longer work to charge my iPad unless my iPad is on and then it starts overheating

When I bought this cable I put on Walmart search Apple iPhone long cable, and this one appeared. I did not notice that it wasn't an Apple cable, which I was l looking for. When it arrived I realized it was another brand, but I decided to give it a try. A few days later started having connection problems and yesterday it torn and now is useless.

Its a 6 foot cable actually and I was very pleasantly surprised when it showed up 2 days after I ordered it and they had included a charger unit as well as the cord in the shipment. Maybe just a cool mistake but Ill take it ! My old phone likes all of it !
