The product is an excellent walker where you can stand upright and look ahead. There are many adjustments for height control of your arms/hands while walking and with convenient braking. Their is also a seat for resting should you need it, with a back rest, but the back rest had previously factory-assembled "backwards". During assembly of the unit, I had to disassemble the back rest and re-assemble it in the correct position. Not a big deal, but took extra time dis-and re-assembling. It also comes with a shoulder bag to use for shopping and other chores. It's a nice, attractive and useful walker. Just be aware that due to the height of the assembled walker, and while it folds "sideways", not vertically, you may have problems putting it in a compact car from a height viewpoint. It is NOT a problem in my larger Ford Escape. I am just under 6' tall, and have mine with arm rests/brake set at the lowest setting (it's just under 4 feet tall as set up) and it can be set up to 9 inches higher for taller people. Just something to be aware of.
Efficient packaging, well protected, all parts easily identifiable and present. Excellent assembly instruction and corresponding part location assembly marking. High quality and thoughtful design. Much easier on my back than my old design rollator. Very pleased with my purchase. Thanks Zler
It would more helpful if the instructions could tell the user how to use set the brakes and where to place the cane holder. My elderly mother didn't feel safe trying to sit in seat and there is nothing telling you how to set the brakes. Overall it was easy to assemble.
This style of walker is better for me than my regular rolling walker that I used for the arthritis in my knee and back because I also have sore shoulder problems, which this style helps to alleviate. When I used my regular style walker my shoulders would end up hurting me more than my knee and back, limiting the amount of time I could walk. I was alright just going around the house, but I couldn't walk around a store, so I would have to use my wheelchair instead. And I also couldn't walk around outside to get some exercise either, so I began to gain weight. This is why I decided to try this style to see if it would help where my shoulders were concerned, and it has. ---As others have said, it does take some getting used to at first. With this style, you are walking in between the legs, which are longer than the regular style and is a bit wider too (I noticed this going through doorways). This walker has the same type of wheels as my regular walker does. Most of the weight is on the front part of the walker with this one, which makes it bit harder to operate on rough surfaces, such as a gravel driveway (which I have). If you hit a medium size rock with your wheel, then it wants to tip forward. I placed my ankle weights on the back legs to help with the weight distribution and that helped with the rock problem. ---I found that if you need to roll over something, such as a water hose stretched across your driveway, then they have little levers by the back wheels that you press on with your foot that will allow you to lift the front up a bit to go over something like that. ---There is no problem walking on with this on smoother surfaces such as wood, tile, sidewalks, parking lots, and such. I don't have carpet so I don't know how it does on there. ---The bag that comes with it is not as big as the one on my other walker. You also have to consider how big this one is when it comes to getting it into your vehicle and how you will transport it, as it is bigger than a regular one and takes up more space. ---I had to try several different levels with the arm rests for a day at a time before I found the one that was the most comfortable for my shoulders. If you don't have should problems, then you might no be as picky as I was in finding the right level. ---Overall, I am quite happy with this walker as it has allowed me to be up and about more and hopefully to get more walking time in now.
I love how I can now walk in an upright position rather than hunched over. I would recommend it to anyone in need of something like this. One recommendation: Give it time to get used to. You'll find other muscles will hurt. It's because you haven't necessarily been using them. It will get better the longer you use it.
