SoleusAir SG-DEH-70-2 Dehumidifier

We are very pleased with the Soleus and it is performing great. I would recommend this product for anyone.

This unit is quieter than either of our earlier dehumidifiers. It seems to really grab the mosture from the air. The last two units (from two different manufacturers) did not last very long. Having only had this for a month, or so, time will tell how long it will last. But so far I'm very pleased.

After I got the humidity stable, the dehumidifier worked on and off as needed. It only took a few days to stabalize. Now it only clicks on when the humidity reaches the percentage where I set it. I am happy with the unit. I would like it better if the sound was slightly quieter when running.

I had been running a smaller dehumidifier in my finished basement but it was not large enough. This unit took the humidity from close to 90% down to 45% in a couple of days. It is reasonably quiet. However, the fan throws out a great deal of heat so it also warmed up the basement a great deal. I would recommend this unit to anybody with a humidity issue as long as the heat issue is not a problem.

Looked at all reviews and comments. All reviews had good and bad. No one could agree. Even the consumer reviews didn't agree with what people reviews were saying. I decided on this one, the Soleus 70 pt. Since I read that most all brands have a life span of 1-4 years, I got the extended warranty, which I don't usually do. Our old one lasted 30+ years. We set up the unit and it works fine. We had a lot of rain in July. Soon all the water on the cellar floor was gone. After the unit cleared the on going problems, we didn't need it running all the time, and now run the unit for the rainy and humid days. It works very well. We have about the equivalent of 4-6 room sizes in the basement. We had the drain close and could set it up for auto drain, with a hose. That is great and was easy to do. We are very happy with our Soleus 70 pt. dehumidifier.
