Learning Resources Pretend & Play Bakery Set, Imaginative Play, 31 Pieces, Ages 3+

Such a well thought out toy. The box is big enough and colorful enough that my three year old was super excited to open it and discover all that was inside. She loves to play "just like mommy" so a baking set keeps her occupied when I am cooking or baking. The pieces are well thought out and well designed enough that she can use them without a lot of adult prompting. The only piece that stumped us for a while was the bright red suction cup cookie lifter, but once we saw it pictured near the cookies and cookie dough, we figured it out. The crack able egg with the egg inside was the neatest discovery. Not a huge amount of educational value, but oh so much fun. The only negative thing we had happen was the Velcro that holds the bread and strawberry together for slicing, came apart from the plastic food items and had to be re-glued. I can imagine that if your child still puts everything in his or her mouth, if you weren't right there playing with them, this could become a choking issue. So in summary, she loves having a mixing bowl, wooden spoon, rolling pin and cookie sheet "just like mommy". Definitely worth the cost, and providing hours of fun - even all three of her older brothers couldn't wait to get down on the floor and play with this too!

This is a phenomenal beginner's play baking set, and my 15 month old and I have loved playing with it so far! Though my child is still a little young, it has been a pleasure to play with the different pieces and I know that it will only improve as they get older. The set comes with a ton of different pieces (please see the picture attached or read the description), but I wanted to highlight some of our favorites: (1) The egg! The shell is two pieces that you can "crack" open to reveal a sunny-side up egg inside. Very cute, nice texture, and my child adored this part of the set probably the most of anything. It has been fun for my little one to practice "cracking" the shell in order to reveal the egg inside. (2) The loaf of bread - it is a nice squishy texture and comes with three velcroed pieces. You can use the play knife (included) to "slice" the bread and then serve it, which my child has loved practicing. It's a great way to teach safe knife use, too! (3) The cookie dough / cookies / rolling pin / tray - It has been very fun practicing rolling out the dough on the tray, and then using a small suction-cup tool (included) to take the cookies out of the dough. It works on multiple levels - not only is it fun to practice the process of making cookies from scratch, but my child also enjoys putting the cookies back into the shapes cut out in the dough, like a puzzle. (4) The pie - The pie comes in 3 separate "slices" that make up a whole pie (what a great way to teach fractions!). Each pie piece has a removable lid, and inside is the "fruit" of which each slice is made - apple, strawberry, and peach (these pieces are small, so be wary when playing with little ones). (5) Everything else! - The mixing bowl, the measuring spoons, the spoon, the measuring cup, the pie server - all are great ways to teach kids the basic fundamentals of measuring, preparing, and baking in the kitchen. They're brightly colored and very sturdy. A lot of fun! My only qualm with the set is that the velcro on one of the strawberry halves ripped off the first time we tried to pull them apart from each other (they fit together to make a whole strawberry). That was a bit of a bummer, but nothing a little glue can't fix! It is a great set and I would definitely recommend this to others. I know that Learning Resources has other kitchen-themed toy sets as well, which we will definitely be looking into in the future.

This bakery set is a perfect for a little dream baker! My daughter plays with it over and over! Upon receiving this, my daughter spent the whole day baking me all sorts of baked goods!! And she really enjoyed it great deal when her daddy pretends to eat them and praise her for a yummy treats. She always wants to help out in the kitchen and wants to bake things using and sometimes braking my tools. It was not always an easy task when kids are in the kitchen baking, but now with this toy that problem has solved. Now that they have their own kitchen/bake tools to bake they stay clear away from my kitchen and my tools! They are very well made. I am so very happy with this product!

My review on this product or game is good because it helps young boys and girls how to bake bread cookies and bun. I see my daughter red the instruction for this learning resources play bakery set and it was easy to set it up. I my and her two sisters play and learn to bake bread from this play bakery set. My experience as a Walmart spark reviewer was a great experience. The game and the product you sent me was wonderful. This play bakery set teaches my daughter and her two sisters how to bake bread and also to put the ingredient in the bowl ad how to mix them together to make bread. They play with it and mess up my house with it. Love the game teaches my daughter a lot of things.

My child and I love this play bakery set. I love playing with my child and seeing my child grow and learn new things. He learns how to prepare meals and use ingrediants, yes they are fake but the point is that they learn something new. The colors are very bright and vibrant. The texture on everything is very durable. Very easy to wipe down and spray to sanitize. The velcro on some of the food is not all that great, I think they need more glue so they can stick better. That can easily be fixed with some super glue. Not only does my child get to play with these type of products at school but now in the comfort of our own home. My child and I love this product!
