Liquitex Gesso, Gallon

This is my go-to for prepping a surface for painting. Helps the paint grab the without holidays. Also use it for prepping an area on the painting to bring the whites to their brightest over a darker surface…first the gesso, let it dry, then the paint.

Thanks to a pastel artist I follow as Pateron she has taught her students how to use this product to make their own pastel paper using this product. I have told others about this product and how great it is. I will absolutely continue to purchase this product.

I've always used white gesso (Liquitex) for most of my paintings and wanted to try different color for a change. Love this brand and the quality. Little goes a long way. Perfect sized for trial :)

I often mix white and black gesso sometimes with an acrylic color lightly to tint the surface and get a start on my composition and this adds to it and, in the finished piece, adds depth to color.

I didn't know a clear gesso existed. This will be a game changer for me. I use acrylics for under paintings before I apply oils. If I have the acrylics too heavy I can ad this clear gesso on top to help the oils adhere properly. Thank you for having this product.
