HART 40V Brushless Auger (1) 4.0 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery

We were recently replacing a chain link fence with wooden panels and posts. After digging the first few holes by hand, we realized how time consuming that was going to be. What a difference using this Auger made! We were able to dig holes so quickly and easily. This thing packs a lot of power for a battery opperated tool. My husband says he's taking it ice fishing next. For how well it works, it's lightweight and easy to control. Looking forward to using it on more projects!

I'm about 5'2" and weigh 110 pounds and I was able to use this without too much of a stuggle. Still a workout but far easier to lug around our backyard than our gas auger. And no gas fumes! So, that's a double win for me. I used this to drill out some holes for our upcoming Fall garden. Completed the whole garden on one charge! So happy.

My property has extremely hard dirt and I dread digging in it. Since I've had the auger I've used it to put up a large fence and drill out garden holes and mix in soil. I've drilled almost 100 holes off 2 charges and there has been no change in performance. The auger is light enough for me to carry around one handed easily. I've only gotten stuck a couple of times on tree roots and bigger rocks and the reverse is really handy for backing out of the hole. The kickback works pretty good but I still recommend wearing work gloves while operating the auger. I never want to go back to the old way of digging again. If it can be done with the auger then that's what I'm using!

This Hart 20V battery powered Auger is a big help in the garden. It is so much easier than hand digging each hole. My garden is small but I'm sure it would help a lot in a larger garden. It digs a 6 inch wide hole. I found that if you just let it drill down a few inches, then scoop that dirt out, then go deeper, if needed. The only down side is that if you hit a rock it will sometimes try to sling your wrist around. I wouldn't use this in real rocky ground. I ran across 3 or 4 small rocks while drilling approx 20 holes. I found it better to just let go, if I hit a rock, instead of trying to hold on. I got the holes for my plants dug in no time. I like that it digs a 6 inch wide hole because that way I can plant azaelas too plus I always mix potting soil around my vegetable plants & I had plenty of "tilled" up dirt from this. The battery was still doing well when I finished. When I first received it, I charged it in approx 30 minutes. If you have plants to plant this will definitely help!! Enjoy your day!
