I use almost exclusively Equate Beauty products. But this one was awful. Advertises as oil-free but I have never felt anything more oily. The consistency was like curdled milk. Also advertised as dry-touch...no way! Not sure about the SPF factor as I just could not keep applying it. I'm trashing it. I bought it to save money on the Neutrogena brand but would have saved money in the long run I guess.
This product is oily and does not apply well as the oil separates and will not mix. It also pills on your face. Awful! Do not buy!
I was really looking towards trying this sunscreen since I already use several good equate products and thought this wouldn’t be any different. As soon as I opened the bottle I felt something didn’t seem right since the consistency of the product was liquidy with white flakes. Aren’t sunscreen lotions usually a cream texture? I tried shaking it to see if it would make a difference but it didn’t and I was convinced that the product maybe was liquid. I usually apply this under my makeup and since I have dry skin the “oilyness” didn’t bother me much. I noticed my eyes would start burning out of nowhere after I applied my makeup and wasn’t sure why since it never happened before. One day I wore the sunscreen with no makeup, and to my surprise, my eyes got irritated and I was certain that it was the sunscreen all along. And since I had no makeup on that day, I can now confrim that it is indeed oily.
From my experience it left me with a major white cast but sudsided just a little. Also, it felt greasy and oily when applying but it doesn't feel greasy after an hour. If you have dry skin it makes it look worse. But my sister didn't experience the white cast or oilyness, she's also a bit lighter skin than me.
The old formulation called equate Ultra Light Sunscreen was great. I used it on my face instead of moisturizer. But Walmart has discontinued the old formulation and replaced it with this far inferior product. The other reviews are spot on; it is oily, does not absorb well and pills/flakes off making a mess if you are wearing dark clothes. I will never buy this again.
