Product works as directed, but I think it's worth mentioning on the label that people need to test the water for nitrites and do not use if nitrites are indicated. When the potassium in the product combines with the nitrites in the water, a saltwater environment is created. I have read reviews where fish have died, and the likely culprit is people unknowingly putting their freshwater fish into brackish or salty water. Responsibility is on the owners to test regularly, but this should be noted on the label too.
