I almost passed on these because of some bad reviews. Im so glad I didn't, and that I gave them a try. They are my favorite boots that I've owned. In my opinion they are better than any Red Wings I've had. Very comfortable for long days, quality leather that holds up well if maintained. Soles are cracked and seams are ripped but that's to be expected after a hard year and a half, two years. Will be a loyal wolverine customer moving forward.
These are a replacement for some old and loved redwing boots. I'm about a month and a half into daily wear in the wolverines and I'm very pleased. The weight of the boot is considerably less, leg fatigue is better at the end of my day. The insole in combination with the absorbing effect of the sole works for my feet much better.
These boots were great for the first 6 months or so, but now they hurt my feet. They were super comfortable at first, probably the best boot I've ever owned. Now though my feet ache everyday, and they are still in great shape. I guess they are just worn out, 10 hour days 6 days a week on concrete, are too much for this boot. I went from super happy, to extremely disappointed, but hey the outside held up just fine.
Great boots for the first 3 months, very comfortable but then my wide feet (purchased the EW version) stretched the leather to the point the insoles were only under about 90% of my foot and they became very uncomfortable to wear. The sole has also started cracking and splitting at all the flex points. I was very happy with the boots for 3 months but that's just not enough life for $165 boots! They also come up when you search “waterproof” and they do not have a waterproof membrane so if you are in mud as I am (pipefitter) your feet will know quickly that they aren't waterproof!
These are the first pair of boots I bought from Wolverine and they did not disappoint. They look great and are well made. And after a break in time of 1-2 weeks they are very comfortable. They have great features and are built to last. I will be buying from Wolverine again.
