The pockets were so shallow that you should expect anything in the pocket would end up with the couch cushions when you sat down on a sofa.

How I use the pants - LOL. 3 ways: 1) wear them from my waist down to the tops of my shoes. 2) Wash occasionally. 3) Folded once on a hangar, in my closet.
