This is a really great product not only for an artist or art student but great for children as well. I used this for my art classes and love the way the colors go on the paper that I was using with ease. They are easy to manipulate and my children enjoyed using them as well. They were able to easily grasp the colors and color without any issues. They are square shaped but it just helps to be able to hold them better. There are an assortment of colors that you are able to pick from and not have an issue of not having a particular color that you want to use. This would be really great for classrooms and even art classes as well. Would recommend this to my friends and family. The way the box is set up helps to keep the area clean as well.

Received sticks and 2 of them were broken. My grandkids (5 and 6) gave them a test run and they enjoyed drawing with the chalk sticks. Word of warning; don't have them touch anything until they wash their hands. The sticks held up pretty good; only broke 2 of them.

This set of Pastel Drawing Sticks comes with a large variety of bright colors as well as pastels. The colors are rich and vibrant,with varying shades in the same family. The sticks are easy to grasp/use for writing,as well as drawing. The sticks are sturdy,and not easily broken as are regular chalk pieces. I got these for my grandsons,ages 6 and 4 as an alternative to crayons. I prefer these,as the marks are easier to remove from walls than are crayons! I was able to remove with a damp cloth,no soap or scrubbing needed! I would not recommend using with very young children,or those with developmental challenges,because the colors come off easily onto the hands. Though labeled non-toxic, I would still be concerned with the child/children whose instinct would be to lick the colors from their fingers instead of washing off.

These pastel drawing sticks are awesome. My grandaughters had lots of fun with them. They are pretty much dust free and they made lots of nice pictures with them. We are waiting until the snow leaves to try them outside on the sidewalk. The colors are bright and true, my smallest grandaughter said "grandma you have lots of colors"

I was SO excited to see these; took me back to grade school!! Although my art teacher never let me have enough time with these chalks! My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon of creativity with these chalks and the “Sakura Cray Pas Junior Artist Pack, Set of 50” (crayons) and a few artist sketch books. The chalks are packaged in spongy material so that they arrived unbroken. They were obviously very high quality. I expected more dusty mess, but was pleasantly surprised; they blended well with little dust or mess (other than my blending medium- my fingers). I also liked that there are extra basic colors (black and white). Can't wait for our next art and creativity day!
