Excellent ramps for wheelchairs and walkers. The 6' ramp works great for going up and down two steps. We purchased two ramps to use on a deck with six sets of "2 steps" to get to different sections of the deck or to the yard. The non-skid surface is great, especially since these will be left setup outside on the two sets of steps that get the most use. We leave them set up all the time and it is very easy to just fold one in half and carry it by the handle to a different location. We now have a total of three 6' ramps. The first one we purchased was a 6' "multifold" ramp thinking it would be easier to move to different locations and could easily fit in a vehicle and take up less storage space. Although the space savings is nice if needed, it turns out that the 6' ramps that just fold in the middle are MUCH easier and quicker to move from place to place if that is something you think you will need to do. Both the multi-fold and single-fold ramps are excellent. If you don't need the multi-fold feature for space savings when not in use, get the single-fold. They are much easier to handle. The pin under my wheel chair drags across the center hinge of the ramp because the ramp sage's as the chair moves down the ramp. The pin was installed by the company I bought the E Z Lock system from to hold the chair in place while in my van. The wheel chair with me in it weighs 560 lbs.
My 81 year old mother fell, broke her arm and, as a result, is moving in with us. I have 1 - 8 inch step into my house and it was proving to be an obstacle for her. Ramp arrived quickly, set-up took less than 1 minute and she was going up and down it like a kid with a new toy. Thank you for making her and my life safer and a lot easier. Definitely will recommend to anyone that needs a ramp.
I ordered this ramp for my 95 year old mother-in-law to provide access to my home. She is now mostly in a wheelchair, occasionally a walker. I needed a ramp that we could easily install and remove when it wasn't needed. This ramp is exactly as pictured and described. It arrived quickly as promised, and installs or stores as planned. We have a two-step access to a side door through out garage. My whole family is now able to bring my mother-in-law in our out of the house in her wheelchair. I highly recommend this.
A friend's mother needed a ramp and asked me to build one. Doing a search, I found DiscountRamps provided greatest variety at most reasonable prices, and seemed good quality. Everything matched what I expected. Upon using it, I didn't expect to have to anchor/pin ramp so it would not slip off step. AND, in the box were the pins to anchor the ramp perfectly, and not lost the flexibility of being able to pull the pins and carry ramp to car. DR thought of everything! Thank you.
