this car seat is beautiful but looks is all that it is. the design makes it impossible to tighten the anchor straps once you connect them to the anchor bars in your car seat. the manual says try using scrolled up towel or pool noodle to help secure it in the rear facing position. doesn't help whatsoever. seat moves around because you can't tighten the anchor straps enough. then the shipper wants to charge shipping fees and a 20% restocking fee to allow me to return it. i will probably trash it rather than dealing with all that because it's not usable. not safe for your little one . bad bad design, if i could give 0 stars, i would

If you're looking for for a carseat. Look no more. This one is great. So safe and so comfortable. It is big, so keep that in mind! But you will be very happy with it!

As for safety this seems to be a great seat, my only problem however it fitting this into smaller cars. I find that in my Toyota Corolla it is a hard fit and luckily I am short so I don't have to have my seat up very far, my husband however cannot fit into my car and move the seat back enough, it causes the seat to loosen up and wiggle since there is nothing to secure the back to when it is rear facing, just the front straps. But when the seats are up it is super secure and I don't worry about my son riding in it, it fits in my husbands f-150 great. So if you do have a smaller car keep this in mind.
