I am so glad I bought this bowl server. It's the perfect addition to our kitchen and gets our Corgi's bowls off of the floor. He likes to scoot his bowls around the kitchen which has been a little hazardous when we aren't paying attention. This holder will hopefully prevent the routine water spills we had in the past. I was a little concerned about my corgi being able to reach the food and water, but it's no problem. The bowl capacity seems to be around 3 cups each. Assembly was easy as can be. It took about 10 minutes in front of the TV. The instructions had one page of labeled parts and one page of instruction illustrations (8 steps). I used electric drill just to make things easier and faster but doing it by hand would not be difficult. If you have assembled any Ikea furniture, or basic Walmart furniture, it's the same concept (wood pegs, small screws, metal posts that go into the flat metal receiving part - not sure what they are called).

This is a very pretty unit. However, I have pretty small/short dogs, and I wish they offered one that was about 3/4 as tall as this one. My poodle's chin just hits the top of it, and my short doxie's chin doesn't even meet the top of it. But she is very good at putting her paw on top and eating out of it. My poodle doesn't have a problem as long as the bowls are filled to the brim. I can diffinently tell it helps him with balance, because of his age. (when he would eat out of a regular bowl on the floor, he would lose his balance. So it's good, but just wish they offered one a tad smaller for 'mini' dogs.

LOVe the espresso color! Storage is not conveient b/c of the access being through the top. It serves it purpose however dogs use it just fine. The bowls move and make noise something you should consider if your dog is skiddish.

I have a boston terrier who has been 'reverse' sneezing after drinking out of her water bowl that was on the floor so we needed something to lift it to her level and i wanted something that matched the trim in the house .. this was perfect. it did require assembly but was put together in less than 10 min. she loves it and so do we.

I did read a lot of reviews before i ordered this for my dog. What people have said about the bowls being a little small and making some sounds when my dog eats or drinks, is true but its a small problem, i took a kid size band-aid and put it on the inside of where the bowl sits and no more noise. It is a great size for my Papillion who is 5 now and its looks great. I would buy it......
