I purchased this for my 3 cats on September 8th. When I applied it, it was super greasy and there was a large amount in the application. Since then, my cats still scratch, they still have fleas, they are always trying to bite the application area. My one cat is literally pulling all his fur out. The vet told me it could be an allergic reaction so we gave him Benedryl(Vet's orders) and the fur pulling did not stop. I will never use this product or recommend it to anyone with an animal whether it be cat or dog. It does not work and it causes many issues in the pet.

My black calico had gotten out of the house three times in a two week period. All of a sudden her neck was disgusting!!! I mean she went from zero flea bites to what felt like hundreds!!! She was miserable and pulling her fur out in patches!! We applied this treatment on Monday afternoon and today she is 95% better. Her fur is growing back, her neck has very minimal bites and she is not scratching 24/7!! For the cost of 15.30 for a 3 month supply you sure cannot beat it!! Our house was not infested so we did not have to take any further steps.

I should have heeded the fair warning of the first two reviews, I used Adams flea and tick shampoo back in the late 80's and early 90's. But this product has sure put the Adams name to shame as far as I am concerned. I bought the Spot on which was 14.97, and had 3 applications in it. I put one on each on e of my cats, and I was literally horrified. The greasy trail of oil it left down their backs made me sick. I had to totally wash it off one of my cats because she was beginning to act ill from it. This is the worst stuff I have ever used in my life. It did not stop them from scratching and it did not take care of the fleas. I had better success with using Dawn reg. brand the blue one, dish washing liquid on my cats. That was the worst 14.97 plus tax I have ever spent in my life. I stay away from Hartz products but from now on , Adams is at the top of my list. I will never purchase anything from Adams again.

We have 9 cats that we've taken in over the years and unfortunatly the last one had fleas. I bought this product and treated 3 cats that live in our bedroom and I will never use it again. It made 2 of the cats necks bright red and seemingly painful. The fur in the area was thinned to nearly being bald (If the manufacturer states this may happen, the obviously realize there is a problem), and it did not kill the fleas as stated. I flea combed the cats every night and every night there were bunches of fleas. I waited 6 weeks for the cats to completely heal from the Adams and used a more reputable brand and thankfully no hair loss, no greasy fur, and it looks as though we are well on our way to a flea-free home again. Please be cautious as to what you use on your pets.....check reviews....I wish I did.

Have a sweet kitty with no fleas, got another cat and a few weeks later realized it had brought fleas with it. Bought this and applied it to both cats the night before we left for a short trip. Came home 4 days later and we still have fleas on them both. They also have the oily fur on their necks as others have talked about. Never again!!!
