I give ONLY THE DESIGN of this 'telescope' basically zero stars. When there was slight temperature changes, and enough oil in the tube, it starts to siphon automatically and if you don't catch it.. and it goes.. slow, like overnight, you will lose all your oil and whatever the thing was sitting on will be covered. I used to like the old metal cans which were so simple a baby could use. There are other problems I have with this design and it's the worst messiest way to distro oil. What is going on with these companies? Love the oil all day though. One of my favorite oils to use for various things.
Been using 3 in 1 for decades, but definitely a lot less than I used to when they had the better oil cans. All these plastic bottles leak, fall over, and fail to properly control the oil flow. The person(s) involved with the bad decision of doing away with the can should be fired and sane people put in their place. Bring back the oil can!!! Can't really recommend until this is fixed. Until then I just pour 20w into an Eagle oil can.
Bought one a few months in the new plastic can. Never used it but when I needed it it was empty. It drained out onto my shelf and floor in the garage. Replaced it (believe it or not) with another. First use went to pull off cap and the entire pour spout pulled out of the plastic “can”. My dad raised me on this but will never again due to packaging. Plenty of other options. Threw this one out too.
Stupid plastic bottle fell over and leaked oil all over my guitar parts and soaked the box they were in. You shouldn't have fixed something that wasn't broke !!!!! This is so typical with today's companies. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody unless I can buy a larger can to fill my own oil cans!!!!! And yes, I DID HAVE THE LID ON IT !!!
I've used 3-in-one oil for more than 50 years. There was always a can on my work bench. Then the geniuses in marketing decided to change to the current plastic, guaranteed-to-fall-over, hose-plagued, leaking container. Now, I when I buy a new container I cut off the top and pour it into an old fashioned oil can like my grandfather used. Same great oil but no more container problems. Hey marketing geniuses, smarten up and go back to the old metal can!!!
