The ointment has a menthol scent that's a bit strong but goes away after a bit when you rub it on your skin. I rubbed it on my neck that was strained and it provided some relief. The container is small which makes it easy to take anywhere. It's a little difficult to get the ointment out of the small container. I think a little goes a long way and I like that it doesn't leave a greasy feeling.

Tiger Balm works really well for me. i use this for my lower back when its a little sore or stiff and i use this on my knee, i don't know what i have in my knee I'm guessing a touch of arthritis but when it aches i use this and within 10 to 15 mins the aches subside. works great, strong smell. you might want to wear gloves when applying.

Upon using the balm, I noticed the nice subtle smell of menthol. I used it on my hand joints. I have achy joints due to typing for long periods of time. I absolutely love the easiness of how the balm goes on and how there is no heat. There's a very subtle smell of menthol on my skin, but my skin is not greasy at all. The absorption time is pretty quick, and that is a plus for me. It did ease my pain, and that's always a plus.

First off I grew up with Tiger balm in our medicine cabinet so I'm used to the scent but if you're not used to it the scent it can be overwhelming. My mom swears by this pain relieving ointment. She uses it every time she has any muscle pains. It has a warm soothing sensation when applied and helps with the aches.

I used this product for my ankle that was a bit sore. In opening it the smell on menthol hit but it wasn't strong enough that it irritated my senses. It's was a nice strength of smell. I put it on and within minutes I felt relieved on my ankle. The product is a bit greasy but it helps in application of it. It's a potent product that does what it states it will do.
