Mueller Sports Medicine Reversible Thumb Stabilizer, Black, One Size Fits Most

This device works great, I have an inflamed nerve in the webbed space between my thumb and first finger, and I was looking for something to just help prevent me stretching my thumb too far out and further aggravating it. This brace works perfectly for that. The only issue I have with it is there is a seam in the fabric that goes over that webbing space, and there was a piece of the materials that seemed hard and plastic that was sticking out on the side from that seam and it really irritated my hand. I trimmed that piece off a bit and then eventually ended up covering it with some electrical tape which is nice and smooth and is staying in place well enough to protect that irritated spot on my hand. Other than that issue, this thing is very comfortable, sturdy, well-made, very adjustable and does exactly what I bought it to do.

I have arthritis with both my thumbs. I am very active with exercise, sewing, drawing and painting. Thanks to the thumb stabilizers experience less pain and I’m able to do things. I love I wear them every night when I go to bed. I wake up in the morning pain-free. I recommend them to anybody that has right arthritis

Okay for small-med hands and works best on “trigger finger” injuries to either thumb (brace is ambidextrous). If sized correctly, it can immobilize “trigger finger injury” to tendons on the right and/or left thumbs (for smaller men’s hands and sm/md women’s hands). Seems to work best when the straps across the hand and the thumb are allowed to be almost loose, with the straps ONLY tight enough to partially reduce the range of motion for the thumb, palm and wrist. Tightening any straps beyond gently restricting movement or circulation may cause further injury. Note that the product is more obviously designed for thumbs that require immobilization; the thumb support is clearly longer than the supports for any other finger. Also, if thumb(s) are swollen and tender, this is not a plush brace that’s particularly gentle on swelling and compression pain. If pain and swelling are close to bearable, the brace can immobilize thumbs by roughly 50-60% — more than enough to be comfortable and still promote healing.

This brace works very well for my thumb arthritis. The only problem is it was delivered to the wrong address from the store. Luckily the neighbor who received it brought it to me. It had no address on it, just my name. I hope this doesn't happen again.

This has helped me so much. My thumb and some of my hand stays swollen most of the time. the only time the swelling goes down is when I put the brace on. If I sleep with it on I wake up with no swelling and no pain. Anything that puts of surgery. I recommend to give this a try it your in pain. It helps.
