This item was a game changer for me. Very solid and i feel secure lowering myself on to toilet. My leg is in a hinged brace and my knee currently has 70 degrees flexion. Just back up to toilet, grab padded handles IN THE MIDDLE and lower yourself. It doesnt slide or tip as some have mentioned. I bought a different type on amazon with the raised seat and returned. This one WORKS.

This is just what I wanted: a sturdy toilet frame that could be moved from one bathroom to another as needed. The frame provides excellent support for getting down onto, and up from, the toilet. The placement of the bars on both sides of the toilet is actually more useful than a wall mounted grab bar. As others have done, put non-slip protective pads on the bottom to protect your floors.

I purchased this for my mom who is older and handicapped. She loves it. Pro: It was easy to assemble. It took less than 5 minutes. It seems very sturdy. It's very light weight. Easy to move out of the way for other members of the household or can keep in place and not bother you. I have wide hips and can use the toilet without touching the handles. Has a small basket on the side for reading material. Con: It sticks out past the toilet a bit so if you're not careful you'll kick it. It's not really a problem. I'd still recommend this product to anyone.

This is second safety rail for us. One for each toilet. Easy to put together. Sturdy. Just right height. However -- I added 5/8" weather stripping on bottom of legs to prevent slipping on tile floor. Now rail is more stable. Stays in place. Gives security. Love it!
