I bought a small amount to test this product at the advise of my doctor; however due to my inability to open the package I never was able to use the recommended amount. I inadvertently crushed the pills, lost a few attempting to extract them. I am going to experiment with a liquid version..

It works really well but, plan ahead to have good scissors around to open the package. For something like diahrrea, you would think this would be easy to run and get to, that is not the case. The little line where you're supposed to tear open, is not tearable in any way upon close inspection. You need to cut one side near the pill, while making sure not to crush the pill (have had that happen thrice so far), nor that the pill will pop out rolling away into the abyss (twice), and that you cut enough to be able to pull at the indestructible backing to get to the pill. Is this backing material used in the military? I don't see how this was approved by anyone. I literally can tear bookboard apart with my own hands and open the toughest jars but, these little packages have torn open the skin on my fingers with 0 progress to reach the pill.

I purchased the 24 count pack wrapped in foil. I am not a young person, but still have good hand strength. I could NOT get them out of the package without a pair of scissors. We were at a hotel and had to ask at the desk for a pair of scissors. The indentation for the notch was not at the edge of the small section. The pills had to be cut out, in order to take them. The backing paper was very heavy, must have been at least the weight of cardstock, so you could not peel it off. The foil package made it an easy to pack or carry benefit, Doesn't do much good if you can't get it open. I was very disappointed with the product!!!

You have a wonderful product with some of the most protective packaging ever. If you have weak hands or are just old even using scissors or a nail clipper it is way too hard to get to the pill! If there is one product that you don't want to strain whil opening more than this one I don't know it. Make easier yet safe access to your product.

It boggles my mind that you would use packaging that is so difficult to open. You're aware that the people who are taking it are in extreme discomfort, right? And yet to get the caplet out of the package is like a cross between a feat of strength and a geometry project. Come on. Have some compassion. Get new packaging.
