[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time trying something like this. I have medium length fairly thick, wavy/curly hair. I have to straighten it or use a diffuser and make it curly. theres no in between-its more like a frizz fluff ball. I typically use a straightening iron to get my hair straight. I tend to air dry my hair and then straighten. When I air dry it gets wavy and unruly. Straightening takes forever and seriously makes me dread washing my hair because I know I'll have to straighten it. This product is pretty cool. I like that the temperature can be controlled-not just on or off. I have to keep it around 400 degrees though. I'm guessing since my hair is so thick. I dont really like where the buttons are because when I'm using it, I'm constantly pushing buttons by accident and moving the temp around. It took me a minute to figure out how to use it effectively. I had to actually smush the hair down on the bristles and then comb through. You cant just lightly brush it through, it doesnt work well like that. I have to put a little effort to it. Although it's a brush, it doesnt really brush like you would think. It's just more to seperate the hair. But I can get bigger chunks of hair than with my straightener so I do think its faster. It leaves my hair soft and straight in a relatively quick amount of time. I think once I get used to it, I'll prefer it over my flat iron. It does get hot so be careful where you put it down.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vanity Planet Flow Ceramic Straightening Brush is AWESOME!! I have very thick hair and it took me 15 minutes to straighten my hair opposed to 35-40 mins. I will no longer be using a regular straightener!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with my Vanity Planet Flow Ceramic Straightening Brush. This straightening brush worked like a charm. It has controlled heat temperature that you can choose depending on the length and thickness of the hair. I really like that the bottom where the cord goes into the brush swivels so you can set it on the counter easier. I was amazed at how quickly it worked and how easy it was to use. Plug it in, set your temperature and brush your hair. It was that simple! This is very nicely made and I am extremely pleased with it!
Its alright if you already have easily manageable hair like mine. I have always used regular straightening ceramic plates. So it's taking time to get used to. Especially at the ends. Difficult to straighten the ends since i cant hold it for a few seconds.
Works great on my daughters thick hair.
